4 Tips for better work-life balance

If you’re working a 50-hour work week and cannot seem to find the time to do anything else, you may feel stressed, anxious and worry about hurt relationships and your overall happiness. Experts now say, that adopting a lifestyle that is balanced is key to staying happy and productive. Here are four tips for a better work-life balance.

Let go of perfectionism – Perfectionist will find it challenging to juggle work, a home, family, friends, and a fitness routine. Often life gets complicated, and things will have to be left unchecked. Instead look at reducing your daily tasks and completing a few things to the best of your ability.

Unplug – Although technology has helped make working from anywhere more accessible, it also means that you are always expected to be available. Often people find it hard not to check their messages even when they are on holiday. Instead, make it a point to shut off and make the most of your quality time when you are not working.

Exercise – When we are busy the first thing falls behind is your workout routine. Working out daily can reduce stress and elevate mood. Look at clocking in at least thirty minutes of exercise daily five days a week.

Limit time wasting activities and people – If you list out what is essential in your life and focus on these experiences and people, the chances are that you will trim down your schedule and feel a lot more satisfied with your life.
